It's N's hen weekend.
An eclectic menu for a mixed group. I chose the life drawing art class which took place in Camden.
A male, very waxed, sauntered across the studio - and I'm sure he was wearing a bit of L'oreal fake tan. He lay across the chaise longue and bellowed, 'Paint me, paint me!'
All very dramatic for a group of North West London laydeeze on a summer's afternoon.
The teacher, who I think was 'away with the fairies', provided us with props!!
Like we needed them!
These included a mask (not very Hampstead Garden Suburb), a whip (oh how very North Finchley) and a ruff (West Hampstead on a Saturday night). He wore a ruff, held a snake (very Moses) and a flower, and of course the obligatory pink balloon printed with the words 'Bride to Be'.
So we all started sketching professing that we couldn't draw.
The teacher, who was still on her spirtual plane, told me that my masterpiece made her feel very choked.
'In a good way', she added.
I looked at her with a puzzled look and she then said to me that I was the only one in the group with negative aura.
I suggested that I was a realist not a fantasist.
She then invited me to join her group in East London where 'we share things'.
Luckily it takes place on an Eastenders night, phew!!
On reflection of my 'masterpieces' I was quite 'generous' - so much for my so called negativity or maybe I just have no sense of perspective.
So left brain, I say.
And the coffee?
80p for a mug (don't know whether it was a washed mug, eww) of filter coffee.
Worth while visiting for other creative activities!
