Goodbye to ye olde cafe

The New Piccadilly Cafe is to turn into a bar and restaurant, so I read today.

It's one of the oldest traditional coffee shops which has remained unchanged for more than five decades. It's closing due to soaring rent with the aim to obviously maximise assets by some greedy person.

The cafe which has been described as a 'quintessentially romantic' place will end its days on 22nd September. If any Latte Days fans are in taaahn over the next 6 weeks then go and support the owner and have a cuppa.

I get quite perturbed reading this kinda stuff; the big guys taking over the little guys and we know who wins at the end of the day, eh!

Move over conglomerates and vivre to the corner shop (like that's gonna changes things, Ms Latte).

'Where are you Mr Corner Store...?'
