The Ranelagh

What miserable weather it t'was this weekend - and now the sun is shining. 'Hooray' for skoolkids, it's half term but a 'booh' for people who work as indoors there ain't no sunshine.

Despite all that I like to fight the elements - so I walked the 11 miles to the Tate Modern walking through the hamlets of Northern London. Stopped off for a Hampstead crepe and marched on towards the South Bank. I am impressed with my kagool.

Then that evening, tired, I headed off to the The Ranelagh in East Muswell Hill (Boundful Green). There Richard & The Sweat Band were in the hot seat, doing their thing and 'throwing in a few cheeky covers'. The have worked with Lucie Silvas who made a guest appearance with a few songs.

"The Ranelagh" is officially one of the coolest places in the world, with a wonderful garden, great food, world beers, a really good wine list, and sofas that you'll want to steal. The wallpaper, however, is a little too '1970s making a comeback' esque.

Great night - and a few others got into the groove by getting up to sing. It wasn't kareoke as these guys had talent.

Does the R do coffee, I dunno.
