No this wasn't a dessert, but a lovely pub in Archway. Some say it's scum but I really like it. It has a lot of space so you're not stuck under someone's armpit for the entire evening. For someone reason everyone seemed very friendly ...
So Muscley Michael with the Broad Swimmers Shoulders which were slightly exaggerated by his horizontally striped virgin wool jumper and I, headed for Boogalooo to hear Fru Fru's dulcet tones.
We were expecting caberet...but got head banging rock.
After four turns of charades (as you couldn't hear a word anyone was saying); he did 'Absolutely Fabulous' and 'Withering Heights' and I did 'Octopussy' and 'Everything You Needed to Know About Sex but Were Afraid to Ask', we went home.

- So like a lot of people due to funding cuts etc etc I find myself at 42 on the scrap heap. 16 years of experience working in further education....and tbh it wasn't a career choice that I planned after University. I just landed a job and continued to work in the sector going from project to project. Not very exciting you might think and many times I thought the same. So for one reason or another I find myself looking for that job that will excite, entice and appreciate my knowledge and skills. You'd think it was a no brainer but interviews are getting tougher and tougher and no candidate is left unscathed by the process, I'm going to ue this blog to feedback and reflect on each of my interviews and maybe I will learn something on the way on how to clinch that job.
