The hosts of Blue Peter have apologised to viewers on air about the rigging of a poll to name the show's cat. Why would you want to do that?
The cat was named Socks after the results of an online poll were changed. Viewers of the BBC One show had wanted to call the cat Cookie. This is is headline news. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT??
Speaking on behalf of the programme, presenter Zoe Salmon told viewers: "We'd like to say that we're sorry." Cat's like fish, does Zoe know that?
The show, returning for a new series, began with the introduction of a new kitten, whose name is Cookie. So what happened to Socks?

- So like a lot of people due to funding cuts etc etc I find myself at 42 on the scrap heap. 16 years of experience working in further education....and tbh it wasn't a career choice that I planned after University. I just landed a job and continued to work in the sector going from project to project. Not very exciting you might think and many times I thought the same. So for one reason or another I find myself looking for that job that will excite, entice and appreciate my knowledge and skills. You'd think it was a no brainer but interviews are getting tougher and tougher and no candidate is left unscathed by the process, I'm going to ue this blog to feedback and reflect on each of my interviews and maybe I will learn something on the way on how to clinch that job.
