Off Peaks

And so Madamoiselle Latte heads to the Peak District for a bit of Judaic musicality and philosophical inspiration but ended up just being a spare wheel, agony aunt, and a shoulder to sob on. Oh heck how nothing changes but such great material for my internal novel.

The best bits:

  • Seeing some very good Israeli films made by a right wing religious Israeli - but he was so gorgeous that even the most left wing radicalist just nodded to everything that he said. Funny that!
  • Being mesmerised by this fantastic hip hop musician who mixes Klezmer, Salsa, Country and Western. (had already seen him perform in London, but this time I saw him in da flesh!!).
  • Burning laterns for Havdalah.
  • My tent - it was big and designed by Orla Keily. We so love her handbags!!

Not so good bits:

  • Pitching my tent on a slope and finding myself rolling into the neighbouring tent in the middle of the night. The things you do to get a bit of attention!
  • Being woken up by a herd of cows
  • Realising that the sleep creases on my face took longer to iron out than the year before.
  • Bumping into people who I hoped didn't recognise me with my 'frizz fantastic' hair and big sunglasses.
  • The coffee was LOUSY!!!!!
