T. S Eliot even made reference to coffee.
T.S. Eliot (1888–1965). Prufrock and Other Observations. 1917.
1. The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock
'For I have known them all already, known them all:—
Have known the evenings, mornings, afternoons,
I have measured out my life with coffee spoons;
I know the voices dying with a dying fall
Beneath the music from a farther room.
So how should I presume?'
Well The Latte Days would suggest 2 teaspoons of decaff would be better than caffeinenated, if you're feeling a little vulnerable.

An ode to coffee
everything is fuzzy, i cannot think
i've had too much of the demon drink
i need caffeine with plenty of froth
to lift me from this state of sloth
in just 2 sips i'm no longer tired
it's like my whole brain has been rewired
by the time i've drunk to the very end
i realise that coffee is my new best friend.
