Spitalfields - a Sunday at

Despite the torrential rain and the chaotic driving conditions Dominic Ferrroorra and I decided to venture to Spitafields to catch a bit of joie de vivre as we were both a little fed up in Finch. Dominic has no sense of direction so we drove past St Pauls, the Bank of England, Tower Bridge, Southwark, Surrey, and Portsmouth. What should have been a 6 mile trip was a tad longer. However, we did reach our destination albeit a bit wet as Dominic needs air on his skin when he's a passenger and so the windows were open wide.

We found what we were in search of * and then of course had the obligatory coffee at the Daily Grind in Spitalfields market. Dominic picked up a focaccio and rosemary dubret and I had some cashew nuts along with the cafe latte.

Cost: £1.60 (4)

Froth: Could do better - (3)
Stayability: Dominic decided to seat himself in the creche area but the kids were all asleep so it was bearable - 5. You can also watch the world go by or go to market.

Taste: Poor wasn't strong enough - (2)

Temperature: OK (2.5)

Presentation: Ceramic mug (3).

There are probably other better places to frequent ...
